FUTURE OF THE INTERNET RESEARCH

Overall objective:

 To conduct research in order to learn about the future of the Internet.

Research activities:

·         Recruit - Recruit buddy pairs by using our screener for in-homes and work place interviews.  Only the primary participant will need screened.

·         Online Blogs – Client  set up an online website for the participants to document their daily usage the Internet.  The online assignment will take 4-5 hours over the scan of a week to complete. 

·         In-homes – Take  interview each buddy pair. The interviews will last 2 hours. 
o    Some are  taken place in the participant’s home
o    Some are  taken place in the participant’s Office/place of Work. 
The research team brings audio and video recorders and cameras to document the session during the interviews.

Traditional Trade at Philippine-Phase-I

  1. Identify some  traditional shops at Phillipine at  high traffic areas. 
  2. Take a picture of the shop with Coca/Pepsi shopping environment. 
  3. Observation of pre-recruited shoppers and take Face to Face 20-mminute interview of thier behaviour.


Diabetic Insulin Product Availability and Market Challenges Study in India



Objectives:
To determine the extent to which the availability of DegludecPlus will impact LANTUS

Methodology:
60 minute viewed IDIs.

Screening criteria:          
  • In practice as either PCP or specialist for between 3 and 30 years
  • Mix of settings
  • Spending at least 70% of professional time in direct patient care
  • PCPs see at least 30 diabetic patients a month
  • Endos/Diabs see at least 40 diabetic patients a month
  • Initiate Lantus, Levemir and Pre-mix insulin
  • At least 4 patients on Lantus, Levemir AND 20 on Humalog Mix and/or Novolog Mix

                 Patients, aged between 30 – 40  who fall in to the following quotas

o   Glass or contact wearers who have considered LASIK surgery in the last 18 months but have not gotten the procedure.
o   Glass or contact wearers who are in the final stages prior to LASIK surgery.
o   Patient who has had LASIK surgery

2) Refractive surgeons.

Methodology

PHASE 1 With patients who have had LASIK surgery.
PHASE 2: Patients who are in the later stages of process of LASIK surgery.


PHASE 3: Patients who have considered LASIK surgery in the last 18 months but have not purchased the procedure.

Smartphone Geeks Internet Uses Study

Target group :

People who own a smartphone and are willing to download an application which tracks their phone and mobile internet usage passively.  iPhone, Android, RIM, Symbian users. They need to merely download the metering app to the phone.

Procedure (provisional)

·         The panelists receive an invitation per email by Provider.
·         The ones who are willing to download the app click on a link and get re-directed to Customer site where they answer some screening questions and receive instructions to download the app. The screening questions may not take longer than 2 minutes.
·         Provider receives a monthly update on how many participants have been newly recruited and how many participants are “active” according to the mentioned definition. Provider incentivizes the participants based on Customer ‘s information.
